The Asian American International Film Festival presented by Asian CineVision is the first and longest running Asian American film festival in the United States. The festival has been a platform for artists and creatives of all kinds to propel their work to a large audience. AAIFF has been committed to film and media as a tool for social change and to support the diversity and inclusion in independent cinema and Asian American media arts.
2019 was the 42nd year of this festival and I had the privilege to be the design lead and set the art direction that permeated throughout all the promotions and actual festival. Most of the festival graphics were designed by me while I supervised a team of three designers that were in charge of things like social media, event promos, and the program book.
PROMOTIONS
Prior to the festival we did many promotions such as advertising on bus stops, phone booths, film screenings and events, launch parties, etc.
